Description
Acacia, Aglaia, I know you are both expecting cubs. Both of you should take it easy and keep an eye on the other cubs, my own included. I wish I could assist you with them, as they are less than a week old, but there is simply too much to do. Aglaia, your apprentice Mars can help keep the cubs entertained and out of trouble.
Three bodies slept soundly beside a white belly, until gentle licks barely woke one of them. The small cub shuffled and using all her strength rose her head to her mother who stood over them. She opened her maw to mew but it was only a squeak in her sleepy state. The urge for sight pricked at her instinct and the cub pulled on her eyelids until a slit of light slid between them; the first light she ever saw. She wobbled until she saw the figure standing above her, instinct again telling her it was mother. The huge cat bent down and with a purr, proudly licked the cub on the forehead before making some noises toward the white cat curled around them. Then mother whisked away like a mist and was gone. Antares wobbled unsteadily again until the face of the tigress was visible, and Antares slowly opened her eyes a bit wider as she looked at her. Another face appeared with a grin but Antares didn't have the strength to look up at her. Her eyes closed with a yawn and the cub curled back against her brother to resume sleep once more.
