Chapter 9: Fire Power

Subsequent days following, was spent training each of her Pokémon in turn, and Jarica could tell that their confidence in her as a trainer was returning. She challenged other weak trainers she found, and found that not one of them could beat her. Maybe that Moltres did make me invincible! She thought well humouredly, but knew better then to get cocky. She knew after her battle with the lady at the Center what overconfidence could make of a person. And although the thought of the terrifying monster called Moltres still frightened her, she wasn't going to give up on fire Pokémon in general. She knew they weren't all that way. In fact

AFW- Chapter 8, Part 2: Battle For Honor

Jarica paced restlessly in the waiting room outside the intensive care unit. Eevee sat neatly on a chair watching her. Her leg still stung, but her thoughts were not on her own wounds from that day, but the manectric's. A few minutes later the light above the door went off and Jarica looked up as the doors opened. Nurse Joy wheeled a stretcher out, with Manectric on it. The trainer rushed forward to see the creature. It seemed to be asleep. It looked peaceful. Jarica looked up at Nurse Joy with desperation. Please don't tell me…

Nurse Joy looked at Jarica solemnly.

Chapter 10: A Worthy Partnership

"So how about that battle you promised me?" Logan asked. They'd sat down at a cafe near the center of Rustboro City to catch up on the last few weeks, and Jarica had completely forgotten about her Gym battle.

"Can you take the heat?" She challenged.

"You bet!" He shot back. He jumped up and jogged to an empty place in the center of town where trainers usually battled. Jarica followed him a moment later. Passersby quickly cleared the area to give them room. A few stopped to watch. "We'll use four Pokémon each- two double battles," He called from his side of the clearing. "The best out of three is the winner?"

"Sounds good to me!" J

AFW- Chapter 11: Winning Streak

A few hours had passed by the time the two and their Pokémon were finished cleaning up the mess their battle had left in the city square. Officer Jenny warned them that only low level battles were allowed in the square; all others would need to be outside the city gates or at the Pokémon gym. The gym battle! Jarica remembered. After Officer Jenny had left, Jarica informed Logan that she'd come to town again to challenge Roxanne, the gym leader.

"I already earned my gym badge from her." Logan replied. "Let's go get yours! You've proven that you're plenty strong, type advantage or not."

Yeah...I based that one off of my actual Tropius. I come up with killer names for these mofos.

Usually the nicknames I come up with have some to do with what the Pokemon is like when I caught it.
For example:
Gulp the Gulip (or however you spell it)
Mack the Mackuhita
Nemo thhe Lanturn (since it's a fish).
